there is a wall, a tall, tall wall of trees knitted together in a ragged pattern.
deep in the middle of nowhere.
dark and light, it doesn't matter, just that it exists and refuses to bend.
small girl standing there, staring up, hands clasped, eyes full of stars.
sometimes it is there, thick and vined with thorns.
eyes watching back, judgement within their depths as they look down upon.
twisted nether of spines, something climbable, perhaps weak somewhere for hands covered in blood to wrench their way through, see the sky on the far side.
...now to get that damned image on paper.
